雑誌ソトコトの2011年7月号にて、RUKUS x RWANDAコレクションをソトコトとのコラボレーション作品の販売が始まりました。（数量限定）こちらの商品の上代の15％をルワンダの工房へ、そして、15％を仙台の被災地で被災者支援を行っているＮＯＰ法人国際福祉ネットみやぎ・21へ寄付させて頂きます。
RUKUS x RWANDAコレクションで使用しているチャームは、ルワンダの工房「ウムリモ・ムブジマ」でジェノサイドから生き延びた現地の子供たちが水牛の角を使って作ったチャームを使用しています。
RUKUS new age collaborated making jewelries of RUKUS x RWANDA with the Japanese magazine 'SOTOKOTO'. These collaboration jewelries with using charms of water buffalo's horn in Rwanda. 15% of the retail price will go to the factory in Rwanda. Another 15% will go to victims in Sendai. This collection images has been published on a magazine of SOTOKOTO in July in Japan. We also stated selling there jewelries on the online shopping site of SOTOKOTO.

先月、バンクーバーのダウンタウンにある「ステーション・ストリート」という名前のシェルターで、ホームレスを対象にしたRUKUSのジュエリー講座を行いました。右のお写真は、０歳の赤ちゃんとシェルターに住んでいる、ネイティブインディアンの女性の作品。（ブレスレットとネックレス）ペンダントトップに使用しているチャームは、日本の江戸時代を通じて広く流通した銭貨、寛永通宝です。一人2つずつジュエリーをデザインして頂き、一つを自分用に、そして、もう一つを次回、バンクーバーで開催予定の合同展示会KIRA KIRA TOKYO vol.11にて、展示・販売させて頂くジュエリーとして、ポジティブなメッセージを添えて、デザインして頂きました。
今年の11月にはバンクーバーにて、ホームレス達をモデルに起用した、ファッションショーも予定しています。
RUKUS had a jewelry class for homeless people at the shelter 'Station Street' in Downtown Vancouver Canada last month. These jewelries were designed by woman who is a native Indian. She has a 0 year's old baby living in the shelter. they made 2 jewelries. One is for themselves and another one is for displaying and selling at the group exhibition KIRA KIRA TOKYO vol.11 in Vancouver in Sep for contributing to the shelter 'Station Street'.

7月13日(水)～18日(月)クラスカ The 8th Galleryにて開催予定の合同展示会KIRA KIRA TOKYO vol.10の後は、バンクーバーへ戻り、その後一年間は、現地でデザイナーとしての活動をしていく予定です。
日本でのRUKUSの作品発表（展示・販売）に関しまして、年内は、7月の合同展示会KIRA KIRA TOKYOが最後となります。この機会に、是非、お立ち寄りくださいませ。
